Needle painted Clematis
In this article, you will find all the necessary indications to start this project.
The downloadable pattern is, as usual, available from the “Patterns 2021” menu.
I chose a height of 17 cm for this model because, after several printing tests, I figured out it would be a reasonable size. It is not too big but sufficient to easily decline all colors.
I made a first choice of threads and you will find the list below. Again, this is a starter and I’m sure to add other colors during the completion of that work. The colors needed to embroider the centers of the flowers and the stems are not included in these two pallets, I will choose them later.
Most of the work is done with long and short stitch and 1 thread.
Do not forget to border each leaf and every petal with a split backstitch and a thread before filling them. This is important because it allows you to get clear edges without difficulty.
Here is the first choice of threads that I think I will use to embroider the flowers.
550, 209, 554, 211, 153, 3747, 762, blanc, 341,156, 340, 3807, 336.
Here is the first choice of threads that I think I will use to embroider the leaves.
928, 927, 501, 502, 503, 3817, 3347, 3348, 772, 3078.
