…more new petals!

Here are the explanations that will be needed to embroider 4 new petals.

It is now mainly petals of the upper flower. These are naturally those who are embroidered with the lightest colors to hang the light and position themself in evidence.

Pétal n°1

After embroidering the outline of the petal with split backstitch and the color 3747 and also the veins with the color 336, all with 1 thread, start filling the petal by the tip and the color 3747.

Continue with colors 341 and 153, as shown in the photo.

Then lay some stitches with the color 3807 …

… finish by marking the shadow on the part that will be under the next petal with the color 336.

Pétal n°2

Embroider as usual the outline with split backstitch and the color 3747 and also the veins with color 336.

Fill the petal with colors 3747, 153, and 341 as shown in the photo. Embroider the reverse of the petal with satin stitch and the color B5200.

Pétal n°3

As for previous petals, embroider the outline with split backstitch and the color 3747 and also the veins with color 336.

Fill the surface of the pattern with color 3747. Petal movement must be given by varying the direction of the stitches.

Add the colors 153, 554, and 3807 but in all small touches to keep a simple and clear rendering of the petal.

Finish by adding the shadows with color 336 as usual.

Pétal n°4

Do the usual preparation work.

In the same way as for the previous petal, fill the entire surface with color 3747.

Add colors 153 and 341 into lightweight spots.

Lay a few stitches with the color 554 at the tip of the petal and some other stitches with the color 3807 at its base. Embroider the reverse of the petal with satin stitch and the color B5200. Finish by adding the shadows with the color 336 as usual.
