4 new petals

Here are the explanations that will be needed to embroider 4 new petals.

Obviously, the color palette of the petals imposes a radical change of thought but the basics of the work remain the same. You have to start by putting the colors of the background, then add the different colors specific to each petal, and actually finish with the color 336 that determines the shadows.

Petal n°1

After embroidering the outline with split backstitch and the color 3747, then the veins with the color 336, all with 1 thread, start filling the petal by the tip and the color 3747.

Continue with the colors 153 and 340, as shown in the photo.

Then lay the colors 153 and 3807 on the other side of the petal and finish to fill the surface with the color 3747.

Place the shadows with color 336.

Petal n°2

As for the previous petal start by installing the colors 336 and 3747.

Continue with the colors 153 and 341.

Embroider the narrow and upper part on the right following the indications of the photo. Be careful, do not embroider the small setback on the right edge of the petal.

Finish the filling of the petal with the color 3807. Then lay the shadows with the color 336 and finish by embroidering the small lapel with satin stitch and the color 3747.

Petal n°3

Embroider the small leaf with the colors 928 and 772 then border the petal with the color 3747 and mark the veins with the color 336.

Place the colors 341 and 153 as shown in the photo.

Finish by completely filling the petal with the colors 3807, 340, and 336.

Petal n°4

Do the usual preparation work.

Fill the entire surface of the petal with the color 3747 and add some stitches with the color 153 around the central vein.

Add colors 153 and 341 with lightweight strokes.

Finish by marking the shadows with color 336.
