Clematis, the first leaves and the bud

Here are the explanations you will need to embroider a first group of leaves as well as the bud.

Please note that I have already added thread 934 to the palette of chosen greens because I immediately noticed while embroidering that a very dark green was missing to accentuate the shadows.

While preparing the images, I noticed that it was sometimes difficult to distinguish the different colors, so when I felt it necessary I designated them with arrows.

Start by embroidering 2 sidebands with color 211.

Then fill the entire surface of the bud with the color 772.

Add color 503 on the edges and in the center of the pattern.

Finish by adding colors 501 and 934 to bring the necessary depth to the bud and finally place a few stitches with blue 341 in the lower part of the pattern.

Start embroidering the upper part of this leaf, alternating colors 772 and 928.

Then place the colors 3348, 3817 and 502 following the indications.

Embroider the lower part of the leaf with the colors 928 and 3348.

Fill the bottom part of the sheet with the color 501 and mark the shading with the color 934.

Starting at the tip of the leaf, fill its surface completely with the colors indicated by the arrows.

Embroider the shadows with the color 934 to mark the depth of the leaf.

Mark the central vein with color 934 then work with color 3348.

Fill the remaining part of the leaf with the color 928 then add the colors 3817 and 502 as indicated by the arrows. Finish with the veins and shadows using color 934.

Embroider the outline of the leaf with split backstitch and 1 thread with color 928 and the veins with color 3347.

Place the color 928 as in the picture, this is what will give the plump shape and light to the leaf.

Finish filling the entire surface with color 3348.

Finish the leaf by embroidering with the colors 3347, 3817, and 934 as indicated by the arrows.
