Garlands

“Garlands” is one of the emblematic projects that have marked the history of Canevas Folies. Like the Needlecases series, it belongs to the basic collection, designed to support beginners as well as experienced embroiderers.

Its richness lies in the wide variety of stitches it brings together: a real learning ground for those new to embroidery, and a renewed pleasure for the more experienced, happy to find the opportunity to display all their know-how.

Each motif is named according to its actual designation in the explanations, leaving each embroiderer free to interpret it according to her own imagination. This is undoubtedly the timeless charm of this model: between rigor and creativity, it becomes, under each needle, a unique creation.

It’s important to remember that the choice of colors, guided by each person’s imagination, is an essential part of the pleasure of embroidery. It is often in this freedom of interpretation that the deep satisfaction of creating is born: transforming a design into a personal work of art, faithful to one’s own sensibility.

You can download it HERE for free in a file containing the drawing and full explanations accompanying the kit.

By offering a free version of “Garlands” today, my intention is to give many embroiderers the opportunity to make their own a fully customizable project, which I hope will inspire them to continue along the path of this age-old, yet incredibly modern, art of embroidery.

And for those of you who’d like to go further, discover the details of each stitch and admire many photos of the model, I invite you to find my article published in 2019, entirely dedicated to these garlands, which you can discover HERE.
