A colorful Heart
This is this new year’s first project, and I’d like to tell you the story.
Before Christmas, during one of my Internet strolls, I was struck by the design of this rather unusual heart. To tell the truth, I was looking for inspiration for future embroidery for Valentine’s Day and later for Mother’s Day, events to which we traditionally dedicate a project.
So I ended up with a simple black and white drawing and no idea what colors I’d like to use.
After thinking about it for a long time, here’s how I solved the problem and if I’m devoting a whole article to it today is because I think I’ve achieved a satisfactory result. I’d advise you to use it if, like me, you’re hesitant about your own choice.
I chose to use this variegated silk from Stef Francis (UK) because I like it very much and used it as a guideline for this work.
This is an important choice because the whole climate of the project depends on it.
For each tone in this silk, I have defined a range of 2 or 3 matching colors that will make up the final palette of my work.
I decided to use the “Soie d’Alger from Au Ver à Soie” because I feel comfortable working with it.
The above choice of color, which reflects my personal feelings, is there to serve as an example for you to make your own choice of color.
Next week we’ll look at how to use them.
If you decide to participate in this project and are tempted by the experience, you can download the pattern HERE. Perhaps you’ll even have followed my advice and your choice will already be made starting this work together.

How beautiful! thank you!
Thank you so much, do you decide to join us in this project?
