A bird in a harlequin suit

The wing, the legs and the tail

To embroider the wing, I used DMC 931, 932 and 3753 threads.

With colors 931 and 932, alternately embroider a strip with long and short stitch 1 thread and another with stem stitch 2 threads.

Here is the right part of the finished wing.

Work in the same way on the left side of the wing.

Fill in the lower part of the wing with long and short stitch 1 thread and color 3753. Finish by edging this area with split backstitch 1 thread and color 931.

To embroider the legs, I used DMC 435 and 433 threads.

Fill in the legs with long and short stitch and satin stitch1 thread using color 435, making sure to keep the fingers separated. Add small straight stitches with 1 thread and color 433 to represent the talons.

To embroider the tail, I used DMC 842, 931, 932, 3753, 150, 946, 741, 742, 743, 3078 and 435 threads.

Begin by outlining all parts of the tail with split backstitch 1 thread and color 842.

Fill all the surfaces with satin stitch 1 thread. Place this satin stitch inside these surfaces. Use the choice of colors at your convenience or with the help of the photo.

Now cover the lines made with split backstitch and color 842 with stem stitch 2 threads and colors 931 and 932.
