Needle painted Dahlia

part 3

Here’s a whole series of new petals on the left-hand side of the dahlia, embroidered in shades of red, orange and yellow.

To make the work easier, I’ve opted for petal numbering with large photos to distinguish color placement better. These are listed to the right of the images.

I chose to add a new light gray color using this thread to separate the petals from each other with a split backstitch when necessary. I never use it on the outer edges of the petals.
