In this last article, you’ll find photos and explanations of how to make this tulip’s last petal and leaves.
I hope you’ve enjoyed embroidering this needle painting.
I didn’t add any new thread colors to embroider the last petal, and here are the ones I used for the leaf work.
772 – 3348 – 469 – 986
First, highlight the middle part of the petal with colors 816 and 413. Begin filling in the pattern downwards with colors 758 and 3827.
Starting from the tip of the petal, add the white color. Place a few stitches of color 519 at the very end of the design, then underline the lower white brad with colors 168 and 963.
To extend the white color towards the bottom of the petal, add colors 169, 168, and 972.
Finish the lower part of the petal with colors 961 and 3831.
Now work on the top of the petal, placing colors 963, 519, 169, and 168 at its tip.
Continue with colors 168 and 746.
Finish filling the petal with color 972, followed by color 921, and finally with colors 413 and 816.
Using all the colors suggested to embroider the leaves, draw inspiration from the photo for their placement.
Proceed in the same way for the upper part of the leaf, but make sure to mark the reverse side of the motif with a light stripe using color 772.
Embroider this second leaf, using the photo as inspiration for color placement.
