Peony, petals 8, 9 and 10

Here are the explanations necessary for the realization of the 3 petals.

Petal 8

This petal is embroidered with the colors DMC n° B5200, 3716, 962, 961, 3832, 3831, 777 and 3803.

Begin with split backstitch 1 thread and the color  B5200.

Embroider a few stitches with the color B5200 at the top of the petal.

Continue with the color 3716.

Continue by adding the color 962.

Then 961.

Continue with the color 3832. The stitches must follow the natural movement of the petal.

In the continuation, add the color 3831.

Finish filling the surface with the 777 color by adding a few 3803 stitches in the bottom. Embroider the inverted edge of the petal with colors B5200 and 3716, respecting the direction of the stitches.

 

Petal 9

This petal is embroidered with the colors n° 3831, 3803, 3831, 3832 and 777.

Embroider the outline of the petal with split backstitch 1 thread and the color 3831, then begin filling at the top with the same thread.

Finish fill the upper petal with color 3803.

Start the lower part with color 3831.

Place a few stitches with the color 3832.

Use the color 777 to finish filling the outer part of the petal.

Embroider the entire inner part of the petal to its end with color 3803.

Petal 10

This petal is embroidered with the colors n° 777, 961, 3803, B5200, 3716 and 962.

Without contouring with split backstitch, embroider under the lapel of the petal with the color 777.

Add a few stitches with the color 961.

In the continuation, add color 3831.

Surround the back of the petal with split backstitch 1 thread and the color B5200.

 

For the reverse part itself start to place stitches with the color B5200 from the top of the petal by observing well the direction of the stitches.

Finish filling with color 3716.

Add a few stitches with the color 962 in the upper corner to give the impression of a shadow.
