When it came time to embroider the second flower, darker than the first one, I put aside the lighter colors (DMC 819 and 818) to replace them with much stronger colors, namely DMC 760, 350, and 817.

This petal is embroidered with colors #760, 893, 817 and 816.
Prepare to work the petal by outlining it in backstitch with color 760 and 1 thread.
Place the first stitches with the same 760 color with long and short stitch, using the picture as a reference.
Continue to fill the petal always in long and short stitch 1 thread with the color 893…
… then with the color 817.
Finish the petal with color 816.

This petal is embroidered with colors #353, 760, 350, 817 and 816.
To succeed in giving this petal its curved aspect, it is important to respect the lines of the pattern with the direction of the stitches.
Here is the preparation of the petal with the color 760.
Start by placing a few stitches with color 353 in the upper part of the petal.
Then cover a large portion of the top surface of the design with color 760.
Continue filling the petal down with color 350.
Now add the color 817 as an extension of the previous color.
Finish by filling in all the empty spaces with the color 816.
