Leaves

 

You won’t find detailed explanations for each leaf, but I will publish the groups of leaves to be embroidered with the flowers in each article.

The leaves are explained in the first chapter of this project. Using the group of greens with a yellow or blue tendency, you are free to mix the colors as you wish using the embroidery technique explained in the previous article.

Underline each petal with a split backstitch and colors 3804 and 326. Then start working the petal at its tip with color 3804 and continue with color 326 to its base. Then embroider a “crown” at the top of each petal with straight stitches and the color 3607.

Here’s a photo of the part of the Corolla made with the color 3804…

…and the Corolla is completely finished.

Embroider the center of the flower using satin stitch and the color 3348. Disseminate a few French knots on the heart and at the base of the petals using variegated thread no. 18.

As for flower C, start by embroidering the outermost petals with the colors 666 and 814.

Continue by embroidering the petals in the central part of the flower with the colors 608 and 666.

Finish filling the flower with the innermost petals and the colors 967 and 3340.

Embroider the center of the flower using satin stitch and variegated thread n° 18, then scatter a few French knots with 2 wraps and the color 131 over the center and at the base of the petals.
