Leaves

You will not find detailed explanations for each leaf but I will publish in each article the groups of leaves to embroider with the proposed flowers.

The leaf work is explained in the first chapter of this project. Using the group of greens with a yellow tendency or the one with a blue tendency, you are free to mix the colors according to your choice by using the embroidery work explained in the previous article.

Outline the petals with split backstitch using colors 760 and 814.

Fill in the upper part of the petals in the background with alternating colors 350 and 760.

Finish filling these petals with color 321.

Embroider the upper part of the petals in the front with color 760.

Add the color 350 and underline the sepals with the variegated thread with yellow reflections.

Finish filling the petals with color 321 and fill the sepals with the variegated thread.

Border all petals with split backstitch and colors 350 and 470.

Fill in the petals using the colors in the following order, 760 – 3340 – 350 – 470 and starting with the tip.

Here is a picture of the finished corolla.

Embroider the center of the flower with 2 threads and 2 wraps  French knots and colors 470 and 3345.

Embroider the upper petal with satin stitch and color 818. Embroider the upper part of the corolla with blanket stitch and color 915.

Finish filling the flower with color 917.

After outlining the petals with split backstitch using colors 3836 and 3685, begin filling in the tips with color 3836.

Continue with color 917…

… finish with the colors 326 and 3685.

Embroider the center with a satin stitch and color 3348 and add small straight stitches to decorate the base of each petal.
