Anthea’s Garden part 4

flowers H, I and J

Leaves

You will not find detailed explanations for each leaf but I will publish in each article the groups of leaves to embroider with the proposed flowers.

The leaf work is explained in the first chapter of this project. Using the group of greens with a yellow tendency or the one with a blue tendency, you are free to mix the colors according to your choice by using the embroidery work explained in the previous articles.

Here is a reminder of the colors used in the green leaves with yellow highlights

for the center use a variegated color.

After edging it with a split backstitch, start embroidering the furthest back petal with color 349

Finish filling the petal with colors 666 and 498.

Embroider the small pointed petal starting with color 3804, then add color 666  and finish with color 349.

Embroider the reverse side of this petal with colors 3084, 349 and 498.

Embroider the center petal among the left petals entirely with the color 666.

Embroider the 2 remaining petals with colors 349 and 666.

I chose to embroider the center of the flower with a weaving stitch on 2 threads and 2 passes with a variegated thread. To get a nice finish, I surrounded the woven motif with a back stitch and 2 threads.
