In the article below are the necessary explanations to embroider the branch on the left (12) and the group of small central flowers (10).
In this particular work, the satin stitch and the long and short stitch are always done with 1 thread. The decorative stitches will sometimes be done with 2 threads but this will be indicated in the explanations.
Branche (12)
After outlining the edges of the leaf as usual with the split backstitch, embroider the outer part of the leaf with long and short stitch and color 966.
Then fill in the inner part of the leaf with the color 3822. Finish by adding the shadows using colors 3820 and 730.
Completely fill in the stems and lower leaves of the branch with long and short stitch and the color 966.
Now place the shadows as shown in the photo with colors 163, 730, and add some straight stitches with color 3820.
Small flowers (10)
Fill in these small flowers with long and short stitch and the color 3822.
Add shadows with a few straight stitches and the color 3820 to the top and bottom of the corollas.
Finish by adding a few straight stitches and the color 899 at the bottom of the flowers.
Embroider all around this flower with satin stitch and the color 3820, then fill in the remaining surface with long and short stitch and the color 3822.
Finish by placing straight stitches with the color 899 as shown in the picture.
Embroider the outline of the flower with satin stitch and the color 3820.
Continue to fill the flower with the color 3822.
Continue with the color 899.
Finish filling the flower using color 3822 again.
Outline the top petals with backstitch and color 899. Embroider the center using colors 3822, 899 and 163.
Embroider the outside part of the 3 right petals with satin stitch and the color B5200.
Work the same way for the 2 left petals with the color 3822.
Continue working in direction of the center using color 3820.
Finish filling the petals using again the color 3822.
