Continuation of the petals (4)

The article below is devoted to the continuation of the petals once again appearing under the numbering 4.

They are also embroidered in layers like the previous ones but the central part is different.

and as always the traditional reminder…

I remind you that to obtain a beautiful result with patterns made in the satin or long and short stitch, it is recommended to first outline them in backstitch with 1 thread.

The long and short stitch and the satin stitch are always made with 1 thread. Decorative stitches are sometimes done with 2 threads but this will be indicated in the explanations.

After outlining the top of the petal in split backstitch with 1 thread and color 963, fill in the area of the design with long and short stitch to the 1st marked line on the design.

Shade the entire upper part of the petal with straight stitches of different lengths and color 899, 1 thread.

Border the inner part of the petal with split backstitch 1 thread and color B5200. Also, outline the center stem in the same manner but with the color 3822.

Fill in the entire central part of the petal with long and short stitch and the color B5200, taking care to leave the parts reserved for the leaves empty.

Now outline the leaves with a 1 thread split backstitch and color 3822.

Embroider the leaves with satin stitch and the color 3822.

To finish, shade these small leaves with a few 1 thread straight stitches and color 3820 on their right side. Mark the border between the 2 main parts of the petal (pink and white) with straight stitches and color 899. Border the entire petal with a 2 thread back stitch and color 3803 like the other large petals previously.
