Petals (2) in the back and center (3)

 

 

 

Below you will find the explanations and photos needed to embroider the second row of petals (2) located at the back of the flower as well as the center (3) and the small leaf that accompanies it.

I remind you that to obtain a beautiful result with patterns made with satin or long and short stitch, it is recommended to first outline them in backstitch with 1 thread.

The satin and the long and short stitch are always made with 1 thread. Decorative stitches are sometimes done with 2 threads but this will be indicated in the explanations.

 

 

Second series of petals located at the back of the flower (2)

 

Begin by outlining the top of the petal with backstitch 1 thread and color 899. Fill in the upper part of petal with long and short stitch 1 thread and color 899.

Finish the filling with the color 963, leaving empty the parts reserved for the central flower and the leaves.

Embroider the central flower with color 3820 and the leaves with color 899.

Finish the flower by adding radiating straight stitches from the bottom center with the color 3822. Decorate the pattern with a daisy stitch 2 threads and color 3820. Also, add a lazy daisy stitch and color 3803 in each leaf. Finish the petal by outlining it with a  backstitch 2 threads and color 3803.

Center and small leaf (3)

As usual, outline the upper part of the petal with backstitch 1 thread and color 3820.

Fill in the entire center of the pattern with satin stitch 1 thread and color 3820.

Embroider the top with 2 rows of 2-thread stem stitch and color 3822. Finish the top of each design with a 1 thread backstitch and color 730.

Fill the entire center of the flower in the same way.

Fill the leaf completely with long and short stitch and color 3822.

Add a few straight stitches at the top and root of the leaf with the color 3820.

Decorate with French knots 1 thread and 2 wraps using color 730. Outline the entire leaf in the backstitch with 1 thread and color 730.
