The leaves part 5

Here are the photos and their explanations for making the second part of the leaves.

I embroidered them in the same colors as the first part.

First embroider a blanket stitch spaced all around the leaf, then insert a straight stitch in a contrasting color in the spaces, all with 2 threads.

Fill in with long and short 1 thread on each side of the central part of the pattern.

Embroider the central vein using a 2-thread overlock chain stitch.

The small leaves at the top of the branch are embroidered in fishbone stitch with one thread, close fly stitch and Cretan stitch with 2 threads.

Embroider 2 rows of split backstitch with 1 thread around the leaf.

Fill the area between the 2  lines with long and short 1 thread.

Fill in each half of the pattern’s central area by placing rows of overlapping blanket stitch with 1 thread. Begin work at the bottom of each side of the leaf, alternating colors. Embroider the central vein in backstitch with 2 threads.

Embroider the outline of the leaf using satin stitch 1 thread and form a grid using 2 thread straight stitches inside the empty area.

Place a small cross with 1 thread on each crosspiece of the grid.

Embroider a striped border with satin stitch 2 threads all around the leaf.

Fill in the center with long and short stitch 1 thread, alternating colors.

Start by embroidering the top of the leaf with satin stitch 1 thread.

Extend the previous part by adding a second color. Embroider the central vein using several rows of 2-thread stem stitch. Fill in the empty area with seed stitch and 2 threads.

Fill the lower half of the leaf with long and short stitch 1 thread.
