Here is, to start with and for a change, in the “Cool Mint” atmosphere the realization of 2 seemingly simple large flowers but not so easy to embroider.
Embroider the outlines of the petals with a spaced blanket stitch 1 thread.
Fill in the spaces with straight 3-thread stitches in a contrasting color.
Underline the inner part of the petals with split backstitch 1 thread and fill the empty area with seeding stitch also 1 thread.
Embroider the centers with satin stitch 1 thread on a 2 threads padding.
The leaves are embroidered with long and short stitch 1 thread. One is outlined with Portuguese stem stitch and 3 threads. For the other one, embroider the central vein with stem stitch and the side veins with straight stitch, all with 2 threads.
Here are now the colors of “Flamenco” to embroider the same flowers but of course with other stitches …
Underline the inside of the petals with split backstitch then embroider them with satin stitch, all with 1 thread.
Then embroider the outer and inner contours of the petals with stem stitch and 2 threads.
Then distribute French knots 2 threads 2 wraps along the stem stitched lines.
Embroider the center of the flowers with satin stitch 1 thread on a 2 threads padding.
The leaves are made in the same way as before.
