Fall colors Leaves group A This article explains how to embroider the first leaves of this project, those of group A. They are embroidered in long and short stitch with a single thread and DMC stranded cotton. After underlining the leaves with a split backstitch, start embroidering with color 3771. Continue filling the leaf with color 3778. Finish with color 3830 and use color 3857 to embroider the center rib and the stem. Underline the circumference of the leaf in split backstitch with color 3830 and start embroidering with color 326. Continue with color 3830… … and finish with color 3857. After outlining the leaf contour with a split backstitch and color 225, start with colors 225, 3771, and 316 to embroider this leaf. Add color 223 to the right side of the pattern and color 3830 to the left. Finish the filling with color 3802 and add the veins in the same tone. This leaf is made with the same colors used in the same order as in the first one. For these last 3 leaves, I used colors 3778, 3830, and 3857. Here’s a reminder of the threads used to embroider this group of leaves. DMC 225, 152, 223, 221, 316, 3802, 3778, 3771, 3830, 3857 Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
