Tiny flowers

In this 3rd article in the series dedicated to this “Birdsong” project, we will talk about the smallest flowers in this work.

Stems are embroidered in stem stitch, leaves in fishbone stitch, and flower calyxes in satin stitch, all with 1 thread. Flower clusters are made in French knots with 2 threads and a single wrap.

Here’s a photo of the last large flower in the lower right-hand corner of the design, now finished.
