Christmas bauble

The second octagonal piece

With the second motif in the octagonal piece, we come to the end of the work.

At first glance, this wreath appears very similar to the first, but on closer inspection, it differs in several ways.

While the tree branches and leaves are similar to those on the first wreath, but arranged differently, the rest of the decoration is different.

Following the explanations below, you can add the last design chosen for this Christmas bauble to the others suggested. All that’s left is to complete the embroidery of the 26 pieces in this project. We’ll start assembling them in the next article.

As for the first wreath, start by embroidering the fir branches in fly stitch using No. 4 metallic thread.

Next, make the leaves in double lazy daisy stitch using stranded cotton and 2 threads, then add an extra lazy daisy stitch of metallic thread to each leaf to add sparkle to the design.

Now embroider Christmas roses with silk ribbon, adding a small gold bead to the center of each flower. Surround them with small stars made with ribbed spider web stitch and n°4 red metallic thread. Finish by attaching gold beads to each dot in the design shown for this purpose.
