Lazy Daisy is the common name for the detached chain stitch, which is a looped stitch that can be worked alone or in groups. It is mostly used to make petals and leaves.

Start by bringing your needle to the front at point 1. Then take the needle to the back at  the same point 1 keeping the thread under your thumb and making a loop. Bring the needle to the front at the tip of the stitch at point 2. Pull the thread through. To anchor the stitch, take the thread to the back just over the loop (see points 3 and 4).

To realize a double lazy daisy stitch, you just have to embroider 2 lazy daisy stitches nested one within the other
