background part 2

This article is dedicated to the realization of the flowers represented in the background of this embroidery.

Here are the threads used to embroider these flowers

DMC stranded cotton 580, 166, 3819, 3823, 3865, white, B5200

 

Left side of the embroidery

The outlines as well as the central veins of the buds are embroidered in split backstitch with 1 thread and color 3865.

Then pad the right side of the pattern with 3 threads and the color B5200.

Fill in the left side with 1 thread and color 3865 on the diagonal. 

Also fill in the padded right side with satin stitch, making sure to embroider the stitches in the same direction as the left side. Use 1 thread in color B5200 and do not embroider to the stem of the bud.

Use color 3819 to bring color to the top of the bud and greens 166 and 580 to embroider the bottom and stem of the design.

The outlines of the petals are embroidered in split backstitch with 1 thread and the color “white” then the central petal is padded with 3 threads and the color B5200.

Embroider these 2 petals in long and short stitch with a white thread and add a few stitches with the color 3823 at their base.

Embroider the padded petal with long and short stitch and the color B5200. Add a few stitches with the color 166 at its base.

Embroider the small center of the future flower at the top left of the photo by padding it with 2 threads and using colors 166 and 580 for the calyx and 3823 for the top, cover it with satin stitch.

Pad and embroider the calyx with colors 166 and 580. Embroider the stem using the 3 shades of green.

Right side of the embroidery

Embroider the flowers on the right side of the design in the same way as those on the left side.
