Clematis, the first petals and some leaves

Here are the explanations you will need to continue to work on this clematis.

You will find below the realization of the first petals, some leaves, and a close-up of part of the stem.

I have numbered the design to facilitate the work…

Leaf n°1

After having embroidered the vein with split backstitch and color 501, put on colors 772 and 928 as shown in the photo.

Finish filling the leaf with the colors 927, 501, and 934.

Leaf n°2

Embroider the veins with the color 934 then the outline of the leaf with the color 928, all with split backstitch.

Cover the surface of the leaf with the colors 928, 772, and 503.

Finish the leave with the colors 501, 502 and 934.

First petal (n°3)

Underline the petal (and the reverse) with the color 3747 and mark the central vein with the color 336, all with a split backstitch. Then place the colors 3747,153 and 341 as shown in the photo, mixing them as much as possible.

Continue with colors 3807 and 340.

Add a few stitches with color 336 at the base of the petal and embroider the reverse part with satin stitch in white.

Second petal (n°4)

After having edged the petal and marked the veins, fill the small upper part with the color 3743.

Then place the different colors as shown in the photo, paying attention to the direction of the stitches to express the movement of the leaf.

Fill the still empty area with the colors 341 and 3807. Embroider the 2 reverse sides of the petal with the satin stitch with the color 153.

Branch

To embroider the branch I used alternately the colors 3031, 407, 524, and 645.
