Clematis, the first flower and a leaf

Here are the explanations you will need to continue the work of this clematis.

There was still a leaf to embroider in the upper part of the subject and here we will start the realization of the first flower. I took the opportunity to test my choice of colors and for the moment I have not made any changes.

I also embroidered the first stems and I forgot to mention it in the choice of the starting colors, I chose to use the colors 3031, 407, 645, and 524.

On the other hand, I have received positive feedback about adding arrows to distinguish colors in photos so from now on I will use this method as often as possible.

The leaf

Embroider the outlines as well as the veins of the leaf with split backstitch using the colors indicated by the arrows.

Then apply the first two colors.

Finish filling the leaf, then mark the shadow using color 934.

Embroider this small branch using the color 928 for the light part and 934 for the dark part.

The flower

Embroider the center vein with color 336 then start embroidering the petal with color 3743.

Finish filling the petal with colors 209 and 3807. Start making the second petal with the same colors as the first.

Finish the second petal with colors 209 and 341 then embroider the center vein of the 3rd petal.

Finish the 3rd petal by adding the colors 3747, 341, and 209 by observing the photo. Then embroider the penultimate petal by placing the colors as indicated by the arrows.

Here is a partial view of the flower in progress.

Embroider the last petal on the left by placing the colors as indicated by the arrows.

For this last petal, start by embroidering the vein with color 336. Fill the central space with color 928. Finish the side sections with colors 3747 and 209.

Finally, accentuate the depth and shadows of the flower using the colors 550, 336, and 934.
