Fireworks

The design shown in this picture is made on a 40/40 cm square anthracite linen cushion cover and is fully embroidered with “Soie d’Alger” and metallic thread from au Ver à Soie in Paris.

You will find the drawing to download in the “Patterns menu” under “Patterns 2021”.

It is in A4 size to suit the most common printers. In the case of this work, I enlarged it to obtain a square of 26 cm on the side.

The pattern is composed of a central ring and 30 all different flames that I have taken care of to number to facilitate the follow-up of the explanations.

Regarding the threads, you will find for each flame the references of the DMC threads corresponding to the colors of the Soie d’Alger used. All the motifs are underlined with backstitch and metallic thread n ° 4 gold 002 of the Ver à Soie.

By following the explanations, you will notice that I did not always work by following the numerical order given to the flames. Indeed, the challenge and the success of this work lie in the assembly of colors. The stitches used are quite simple with the exception of certain centers of flames which I will give you the details of the realization over the explanations.
