Fireworks
part 3
You will find in this article, the explanations necessary for the realization of the flames 27, 8, 9, 10 and 28.
Flame n°27
The flame is embroidered with satin stitch and long and short stitch with the colors 3335, 799, 797, 208, and 333.
Flame n°9
The flame is fully embroidered with long and short stitch and the colors 3335, 928, and 554.
Flame n°28
First, embroider the grid (following image) in the inner part of the flame then embroider the outline with rows of juxtaposed stem stitch and 2 threads. Use colors 947, 797, 208, and 498.
Using straight stitches, first position 2 different grids. The first is made up of horizontal and vertical threads, the second is placed at an angle above the first. Embroider a small patch in woven stitch at the intersections of 8 threads and a small straight stitch at the intersections of 4 threads. Everything is done with 2 strands of stranded cotton.
Hi Laurence
Loving seeing the see the progress of the fireworks
They are so spectacular and fizz with colour and the sparkle of the metallic yarns gives them a lovely finish
Thanks fir the reminder that Easter will be with us soon
I’m looking forwards to embroidering this years Easter Egg to add to my collection
Keep on stitching and designing
Bridget
Hi Bridget,
Thank you for your nice comment on the fireworks comments.
I worked on the Easter egg this weekend and it was so fun. I am already finished, you will have it to download next Sunday but if you prefer I can ship you a printed one in a small envelope, just let me know.
Have a nice week and enjoy your family, I heard that the lockdown is a little bit softening no?
Very friendly
Laurence
