Embroidered coloring page part 2

The large central flower

In the “Flamenco” atmosphere, here is the realization of the large central flower in orange tones.

Remember that you will find explanations of the used stitches in the “Stitches” section of the menu.

Embroider 3 rows of stem stitch 2 threads at the outer edge of the petal.

Fill the lower part with satin stitch 1 thread.

Make a herringbone stitch with 3 threads in the part of the petal that is still free.

Underline the edge of the inner petal with a split backstitch 1 thread. Fill the main part with a slightly spaced blanket stitch and 2 threads.

Insert straight 2-thread stitches between the blanket stitches to obtain the effect of an intermediate color. Finish the edge of the petal by embroidering 2 rows of stem stitch with 2 threads.

Embroider the small petals with satin stitch 1 thread. For the center, embroider a 2-thread trellis stitch on a background padded with 3 threads. The lattice stitch braces are held in place by a very small straight stitch 1 thread of a different color.

Finish the center with French knots 2 threads and 2 wraps.

These leaves are embroidered with long and short stitch 1 thread. The veins are realized in an overcast chain stitch and 2 threads.

Embroider these leaves in blanket stitch with 1 thread “stepped” starting at the tip of the pattern. The veins are stitched with stem stitch 2 threads.

In the “Cool Mint” atmosphere, other colors and other stitches …

Embroider straight stitches 2 threads evenly spaced on the outer edge of the petals to place the ribbed spider web stitch.

Then make the ribbed spider web stitch with 2 threads. I embroidered 3 rows always in the same direction. You should not embroider “back and forth” because the result is not pretty.

Embroider 1 row of stem stitch followed by a row of overcast chain stitch, all with 2 threads.

Fill the inner surface of the petals with satin stitch 1 thread.

Border the inner petals with 3 rows of 2-thread stem stitch. As in the orange flower, then fill the empty area with spaced blanket stitch and straight stitches interspersed all with 2 threads.

The small petals are simply satin stitched with 1 thread.

For the center, I used an upper-lower weaving stitch in 2 rows and 2 threads.

Finish by edging the weaving with French knots 2 threads and 2 wraps.

Embroider the leaves in the same way as for the orange flower.
