You will find below the necessary explanations for the realization of this magnificent bicolored dahlia. 

The threads

The threads used to embroider this flower are

DMC 745, 967, 3341, 502 and 304

Embroider the petals starting at the top of each motif, with the colors following each other as shown in the photo.

Here are the close-up photos of the petals that form the outer crown of the dahlia.

Here are the pictures of the petals on the inside and back of the dahlia and the center and front petals.

To embroider these petals, which are small, I removed color 967 and emphasized color 602.

 

The very small petals of the center are embroidered in satin stitch with the color 304.

 

Embroider these petals in front of the center in the same way as the ones in the back.

 

The petals at the front of the flower are the lightest in the design. It is necessary to use all the colors available, emphasizing the yellow 745 and minimizing the use of the dark pink 602.
