Dahlias, strawberries and butterfly

Strawberries, small dahlias, figs and black currants

Below you will find the explanations for the second group of strawberries, the figs, the two small dahlias and the black currant.

First of all the second group of strawberries

These strawberries are embroidered in the same way and with the same colors as in the first group.

The figs

The threads used to embroider the figs are 

DMC 580, 166, 3348 and 772

The threads used to embroider the small leaves are

DMC 523 and 926

 

Begin by embroidering the lines of the design in stem stitch with 2 threads and color 580.

Then fill in the entire surface of the figs in long and short stitch using colors 772, 3348, and 165. Shade the colors starting with the lightest color at the top of the fruit.

Here are the finished figs.

Embroider the small leaves in fishbone stitch with 1 thread and color 523. Embroider the stem in stem stitch and the rib in straight stitch, all with 2 threads and color 926.

Small dahlias and black currants

The threads used to embroider the dahlias are 

DMC B5200, 915 and 3607

The threads used to embroider the blackcurrants are

DMC 550, 553 and 369

 

After outlining each petal with a split backstitch and stuffing it with 2 threads, cover it with a thread in satin stitch and the color B5200.

Embroider 1-thread lazy daisy stitches with color 3607 to form a crown at the base of the petals.

Continue by adding 3 rows of back stitches with 3 threads and color B5200. Embroider the center with a 1 thread satin stitch on a 2 thread padding with color 915.

Finish making the flower by filling in the remaining space with French knots 2 threads 2 wraps and color 915.

Embroider the stems of the design in stem stitch with 2 threads and color 369. Embroider the berries in satin stitch with 1 thread and using the colors 550 and 553 alternatively.
