You will find below the explanations necessary for the realization of a whole series of leaves that garnish this work.

All of these leaves are embroidered with long and short stitch using 1 thread with the center vein done in backstitch with 2 threads.

For this work, I used 4 different colors in a range of DMC threads.

You will find below pictures of the realization of a leaf with the positioning of the colors but without comments because for once, the pictures are enough for themselves. You will then find 2 other pictures of all the finished leaves to guide you in your work. 

For a nice result, you just have to vary the positioning of the colors according to your fantasy.

The threads used to make these leaves are

DMC stranded cotton 500, 501, 502, 503
