Reticello pincushion

part 4

The Reticello pattern is now finished and I found that it would be highlighted by a simple decoration that allows to obtain a square pattern, which will facilitate assembly.

I used the DMC thread “Spécial à broder” for the square stitches and the stranded cotton 3 strands to make decorations with the satin stitch.

Extend the square stitches to get a square pattern as well.

Starting at the corner with the smallest stitch, embroider 9 satin stitches with 3 strands of stranded cotton always leaving 3 free threads on the sides as seen in the picture.

Finish with a large lazy daisy stitch with 3 threads beginning in the middle of the largest of the satin stitches and ending by also leaving 3 threads in the opposite corner.
