Remembering Summertime

Here is a presentation of the embroidery “Remembering Summertime” completed.

This embroidery is composed of 6 different flowers whose details you will find below.

Pink Bromelia

This flower is fully embroidered with satin stitch and 1 thread

The colors used are

for the leaves, House of Embroidery stranded cotton Herbs 92 and DMC floss cotton 927 and 522 DMC

for the flower, DMC floss cotton 1026, 151, 3716, 961, 3350, 816 and 814

Columbines

I embroidered 4 petals with satin stitch and 4 others with blanket stitch, all with 1 thread. The hearts are realized with a spider web with 2 threads.

The colors used are

 House of Embroidery stranded cotton Roses 16 and Aster 19

 DMC floss cotton 3835 and 676

Bellflowers

The lateral petals are embroidered with satin stitch 1 thread. The central petal is made with interlaced trellis stitch surrounded with Portuguese stem stitch, all with 2 threads.

The colors used are

House of Embroidery stranded cotton Iris 57 and Aster 19

DMC floss cotton 160 and 3807

Daisies

The petals are embroidered with satin stitch and 1 thread. The chalices are realized with a simple trellis stitch 1 thread laid on a vertical padding made with 2 threads.

The colors used are

House of Embroidery stranded cotton Nasturtium 76 and Moos 32

DMC floss cotton B5200 and 3825

Mountain ash

The leaves are embroidered with blanket stitch and the vein with back stitch, all with 2 threads. The flowers are made with French knots and Perle cotton n ° 8.

The colors used are

House of Embroidery stranded cotton Forest 54 and Perle cotton n°8 Olives 29
