Morning Glories, part 2
Here are the explanations of the upper part of the design.
I added the following 2 colors, DMC 3078 and 1026 to the palette proposed in the introductory post. The stitches used are the long and short stitch with 1 thread and the stem stitch with 2 threads.
I remind you that to get a nice result, it is necessary to surround each piece of the design with a split backstitch 1 thread.
Leaf and stems
After you have made your split back stitch with 1 thread, start by embroidering the top edge of the leaf with long and short stitch also 1 thread and color 320.
.
Finish filling the leaf with color 368 and add a few stitches at the bottom part with color 320 to give a shaded impression.
.
Buds
Begin by filling the bottom part of the button with colors 369 and 501.
After making a split back stitch, embroider the folds of the bud with stem stitch 2 threads and color 161.
.
Start embroidering the button from the bottom of the pattern. First, embroider a few stitches in white (B5200) and then apply the 3 colors 159, 160 and 161, from the lightest to the darkest in the direction of the tip and between the stitch lines.
.
Flower
Start by embroidering the first stitches with color 797. It is necessary to respect the direction of the stitches which must imperatively follow the movement of the corolla.
.
Embroider now with color 3840 which is the lightest of our palette and will bring depth into the whole.
.
