Edwardian Parrot

part 13, the crest

Here are the explanations and the pictures necessary to finish the head of the parrot.

List of colors used to embroider this pattern

221, 316, 778, 407,3753, 3371, 422, 841, 415, 642, 349 and 813  (new colors).

Always embroider this pattern, starting at the top of the feathers. Here I used the colors 778, 316, 349, 221 and 3771.

Then embroider the 2 beige lines with stem stitch 2 threads. Use 2 rows juxtaposed at the base of the feathers to finish at the top with a single row and the color 407. Then fill the pattern with the colors 3753, 813, 778, 316, 349 and 221.

To finish this last colored part of the feathers, I used the colors 407, 778, 349 and 221.

First, embroider the red part above the eye with the color 349. Be aware of the direction of the stitches is important. Then finish the last part of feathers with colors 422, 642, 841 and 415.

Finally, outline the entire motif with split backstitch 1 thread and color 3771.
