Needle painted Morning Glories<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

This project is carried out mainly in long and short stitch.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This is our second project using the needle painting technique. After realizing the peony, I chose this design because of its difference with the previous work.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Indeed the surfaces to be embroidered are much smaller and it will be a matter of well declining the range of chosen colors.<\/span><\/h4>\n

As always for this technique, we will use the most classic embroidery thread, i.e. just plain stranded cotton.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Taking advantage of the very wide range of colors of the DMC collection, the most popular in Europe, here is the list of threads that I chose. This is a very intuitive first choice but can be modified according to the needs of the work. If that were the case I would not fail to mention it.<\/span><\/h4>\n

For the leaves,\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>DMC stranded cotton<\/span>\u00a0500, 501, 320, 368, 369. <\/span><\/h2>\n

For the flowers,\u00a0<\/strong>DMC stranded cotton<\/span>\u00a0823, 797, 3838, 3839, 3840, B5200\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

For the buds,\u00a0<\/strong>DMC stranded cotton<\/span>\u00a0159, 160, 161.<\/span><\/h2>\n

I chose to embroider these Morning Glories on light gray linen to bring out all the shades of blue used from lightest to darkest and enhance the white.<\/span><\/h4>\n
