The color pictures below are there to give you an accurate view of the patterns as they were embroidered.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In this small project, we used 5 different\u00a0stitches<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Stem stitch, Palestrina stitch, straight stitch, blanket stitch\u00a0and satin stitch.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Never forget that to obtain a beautiful satin or long and short stitch, it is mandatory to surround each pattern\u00a0with a split back stitch!<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The stems are embroidered in Palestrina stitch<\/a><\/span> with 2 threads and a chenille needle n \u00b0 22.<\/span><\/h4>\n

I first embroidered a split back stitch 1 thread around each petal. Each petal is embroidered in satin stitch<\/a><\/span> with 1 thread and embellished with straight stitches<\/a><\/span> in golden thread. Remember that to work easily with golden thread it is necessary to take a short length of yarn.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The hearts of the flowers are embroidered in satin stitch<\/a><\/span> with 1 thread on a 2 threads padding.<\/span><\/h4>\n

I have added straight stitches<\/a><\/span> arranged diamond-shaped in\u00a0golden thread as an embellishment.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The wings are embroidered in satin stitch<\/a><\/span> with 1\u00a0thread. I added a 2 threads padding under the top wings.<\/span><\/h4>\n

I used golden beads for the body and golden thread for the antennas.<\/span><\/h4>\n

I also added some straight stitches<\/a><\/span> with golden thread to decorate the wings.<\/span><\/h4>\n
