The rose is made of a succession of bullion stitches\u00a0worked around and overlapping slightly.<\/span><\/h4>\n

What I call “the first round” in the construction of a rose is articulated around the center. It consists of three petals that form a circle.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Here is the first.<\/strong> It is a bullion stitch of about 12 wraps. It starts half way\u00a0of a center stitch, turns\u00a0around their tip\u00a0and ends on the other side also to half way.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This is the second petal.<\/strong> The bullion stitch\u00a0of about 15 wraps\u00a0starts at the first half backwards relative to the direction of rotation you have chosen. To embroider the third petal<\/strong>, as before, you have to step back up to\u00a0half of the preceding stitch to start the next one. You can put 17 or 18 wraps and the stitch has to end where the first petal is starting.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

When the first round is complete, just embroider the outer petals\u00a0to complete the flower.<\/span><\/h4>\n

For this, you have to work as before, but more freely. Always keep turning in the same direction and also step back to start the next stitch. This is what allows petals overlap. The bullion stitches from\u00a0this level does not exceed 14\u00a0wraps.<\/span><\/h4>\n
