The four sided stitch is embroidered from bottom to top and from left to right, working over the same number of threads in\u00a0all directions.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Embroider the\u00a0first stitch\u00a0upwards and take the needle\u00a0out diagonally down. Make a stitch\u00a0from left to right ending at the start of the first\u00a0stitch. Take\u00a0the needle diagonally upwards and make a stitch\u00a0identical to the previous one\u00a0on \u00a0top of the square. Place again the needle diagonally down to complete your square. This is also\u00a0the beginning of your next four sided stitch.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This stitch shows\u00a0a square pattern on the right side of the fabric\u00a0when properly executed and a cross pattern on the backside of the fabric.<\/span><\/h4>\n
