When I came across this little illustration, I immediately said to myself it would make a very nice Christmas project. So I was eager to turn it into a small embroidery that I have a lot of fun to present to you today.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Holly<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The leaves are embroidered with herringbone stitch 1 thread and the House of Embroidery 69A stranded cotton.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The berries are embroidered with satin stitch and a tiny straight stitch to mark the bottom of the fruit, all with 1 thread and the DMC 304, 349 and 646 stranded cotton.<\/span><\/h4>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”1_2″][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.19.5″]\n

Branches and dried ears<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The branches are embroidered with stem stitch1 thread and House of Embroidery stranded cotton 72C.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Pink berries and leaves<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The stem of the berries is embroidered with stem stitch and leaves with herringbone, all with House of Embroidery stranded cotton 55B and 1 thread. The berries are embroidered with satin stitch and finished with 3 straight stitches, all with 1 thread. The colors used are House of Embroidery 90A and DMC 646 stranded cotton.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The leaves above the berries are embroidered with stem and satin stitch using 1 thread and House of Embroidery stranded cotton 4C.<\/span><\/h4>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”1_2″][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.19.5″]\n

Dry branches, holly, fir branches and mistletoe.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The dry branches and holly are embroidered as before.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The fir branches are embroidered with fly stitch 1 thread and House of Embroidery stranded cotton 69C.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The mistletoe leaves are embroidered with satin stitch 1 thread and House of Embroidery stranded cotton 5B. The berries are made with French knots 2 wraps and a big needle (here chenille 22). I used House of Embroidery Perle cotton N\u00b0 8\u00a0 in the color 6B.<\/span><\/h4>\n
